Overview

This small group tour takes you through the historic ruins of the former Willis Freeman Plantation now know as Ras Freeman, Antigua's hub for Rastafari.

The hub consists of over 25+ acres of land full of crops and local fruits ripe for picking and assisting in making Antigua a more food secure nation. You will have an opportunity to visit some of our green houses and fields where sacramental cannabis is grown and learn about Rastafari's role in Antigua's budding medicinal cannabis industry.

As we walk the grounds you will encounter countless historic artifacts of what remains of the plantation such as the old slave house, sugar cane mill and production machinery predating 1834. Adjacent to the decaying ruins is the Nyabinghi tabernacle which houses the lifeline and heartbeat of the Rastafari movement in Antigua. You will experience Nyabinghi drumming and learn about the history of Rastafari culture and living.

This memorable tour concludes at the forever-blazing Nyabinghi fire.
